Tergar Meditation Community
США
Добавлен 7 мар 2016
The mission of the Tergar Meditation Community is to make the ancient practice of meditation accessible to the modern world. For centuries, the practice of meditation has been used by countless individuals to transform suffering into joy and confusion into wisdom.
Tergar meditation and study programs are designed to facilitate this transformation. Under the guidance of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, a remarkable teacher celebrated for his ability to make the practice of meditation accessible to people of all backgrounds, the Tergar community of meditation centers and practice groups provides a comprehensive course of meditation training and study, with programs for Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike.

Thank You ! My favorite voice is singing for my favorite teacher. How wonderful.

The path that we share. Thank you
Thank you 🙏
We get swept away by our thoughts, amplified by inclination and habit. _("Like chips of wood on storm tossed oceans.)_ And brain works with those thoughts to create a full set of raitonalization/justifications. *_("Persona management.")_* Gotta somehow break that causal chain! p.s. having eyes, we can see others. but to see ourselves? we need others as mirrors!
I deeply respect and admire Mingyur Rinpoche's courage and commitment to the truth of our nature. And I really hope that this way of relating to fear and anxiety gives people some ease (in the short term) and release (ultimately). But, in the context of the panic disorder that I suffered from, this is incomplete - and I'm not sure why this is. Perhaps, a more complete teaching on fear would be inappropriate for the maturity level of a practitioner struggling with overwhelming panic?

This is an excellent analogy. I'm having pain right now feeling sick and I'm trying to look at it a different way of my body trying to cleanse itself of something that's not supposed to be there
I've always understood how _"scholasticism"_ can be used as an evasive tactic, when not just used for self-entertainment. But I've for 3decades now wondered at your *_"Cut suddenly!"_* Oh. 🙂 Funny how the bush of samsaric preoccupation comes up loose with one tug once the root is cut! Pondering again Mahamudra teachings _("Moonbeams!")_ I saw how ... I've started calling it *"String of Thorns"* ... my pondering and thinking and figuring and and and ... an endless supply of "reasonably plausible" distractions! (Alaya vijñana, yes?) p.s. I've adopted "Drop it!" as less confrontational than "cut", and less judgmental / negative, but even this seems too harsh. "Don't pick it up"? 🙂 Or _"Don't get sucked down into the rabbit hole!"_ __ {*} __
@17:30 Rinpoche is low key hilarious
Thank You both for sharing open talk. Lou and Laurie’s Art touched me on a new level when being around 18 years old and being as well a tech geek. I was no fan and was a fan on a more intimate internal level, like it resonated and supported a part I searched around and could not understand that age why and what. Starting to study, discover about 10 years later closely around a Tibetan Dzogchen Master, am again and again amazed about the fact resonating with people and artists who were as well integrating with buddhist teachings, without knowing that they were.
What is taught in Mahamudra and how to practice it was not yet explained in any of your videos rathar than reviews.
After a nice long happy life some changes occurred last year and at the age of 65 I am now faced with anxiety. My question is how can I meditate on my anxiety?
Carole, when you are meditating if there are symptoms of anxiety just gently rest your awareness on those symptoms. This will cause the components of the whole feeling you know as anxiety to reveal themselves; gently rest your awareness on each component and it will resolve itself in time. When you feel anxious, does your heart beat fast? Let that be the object of your awareness. Does your stomach feel knotted and tight? Meditate on that. Do you feel fear? Meditate on that. Go through the various parts of your anxiety and meditate on each, however long it takes, and ease will come. I recently did this with my lifelong feelings of chronic depression and after six days of meditating on it off and on I was free of it, mostly. It recurs from time to time in a much gentler fashion I'm easily able to dissolve with a meditation or two. I hope this helps you, it helped me tremendously.
@@MartyRabbit Thank you for your thoughtful reply

If you go at the end of this long teaching You will see how your mind is limitless wherever you are and thinking!
